“WE were delighted when we realised that Garden Day 2018 coincided with our Bedford Garden Festival,” said Rozanne Ross of Cavers farm.

“Sunday is a special day during our festival, as we offer visitors the added pleasure of a midday concert under the oak trees at Cavers. This is kindly sponsored every year by Pam Golding Properties.

“It has become a tradition for families to come and enjoy the garden, playing on the lawn or snoozing under the trees,” said Ross.

Teas and lunches are served at Cavers on all three days of the festival.

This is exactly what Garden Day is all about.

It is a national event, encouraging people from all walks of life to celebrate the beauties of nature and the joy of friendship.

It’s a day to down tools and share the love with friends.

The co-ordinators encourage everyone to make and wear a flower crown on the day – and share their selfies @gardenday.

Note that the township gardens will be closed but all the other gardens on the Bedford Garden Festival programme (www.bedford. co.za) will be open on Garden Day.
