SA Nasionale Parke-week:

SANParks hou die jaarlikse Suid-Afrikaanse Nasionale Parke-week tot 14 September. Suid-Afrikaners kan tot dan hul ID-bewyse gebruik om gratis dagbesoeke af te lê by SANParke. Twee ekstra dae, 15 en 16 September, is ook ingesluit vir Camdeboo Nasionale Park buite Graaff-Reinet. Kontak 049 892 3453.

Tracks 4 Cancer:
All are invited to walk, run or ride in the Camdeboo National Park on September 15. Donations for the Graaff-Reinet Cancer Association can be handed in at starting points. Entry is free. Visit www.graaffreinet.co.za for more info.

Graaff-Reinet Chamber of Commerce:

Pasture And Sheep Day:

Reünie:

Die Fort Beaufort Dorpsreünie sal vanaf 21 tot 23 September by Fort Beaufort Country Club plaasvind. Alle oud- en huidige inwoners word na die geleentheid genooi. Die koste is R200 per persoon vir die naweek. Besoek www.fortbeaufort.co.za of kontak Benje Burger by 082 892 2440.

Trail Run:

Lormar Endurance Trail Run participants will explore the Karoo by foot, running along “sheeptrails” during a two-day run from 60km outside Middelburg on the dirt road towards Richmond on September 22 and 23.

Cricket And Braai:

Will take place at the Mill Cricket Grounds in Bedford on September 23. It will be Bedford vs a side from Cape Town. There will be burgers at R50 and, later in the day, braaipacks and roosterkoek at R100. The Mill Pub will be open. RSVP with Marcelle Ainslie at 072 408 1094.

Sasol Solar Challenge:

Internasionale spanne sal op 25 September met sonaangedrewe motors reeds vanaf 09:00 by die Hoërskool Middelburg aandoen. Om 15:00 sal die sonkarre weer na die Hoër Volkskool in Graaff-Reinet vertrek. Op 26 September vertrek hulle om 07:30 na Stellenbosch waar die finale prysuitdeling op 30 September plaasvind. Jaarvergadering: Die Middelburg-gholfklub nooi alle klublede om hulle algemene jaarvergadering by te woon op Woensdag, 26 September, om 18:00 by die gholfklub.

Matriekafskeid: Die Hoërskool Middelburg se matriekafskeid sal op 27 September in die skoolsaal plaasvind. Toeskouers kan reeds vanaf 18:00 hulle plekke op die pawiljoen inneem om die besonderse uitrustings te kom aanskou.

MTB Tour: The Lormar Endurance MTB Tour will take place 60km outside Middelburg on the dirt road towards Richmond from September 28 to 30.

Windpomp Run:

The Graaff-Reinet Running Club will present the Windpomp Run on September 29. The 21.1km run/walk will start at 07:00 and costs R120; the 10km run/walk will start at 07:15 and costs R100; and the 5km fun run will start at 07:30 and costs R70. The temporary licence is R30. Summit Wildlife Auction:

Heritage/Bewaringsfees:

Noupoort, wat sowat 45km vanaf Middelburg geleë is, beplan ’n bewaringsfees vir 24 September. Die oggend sal met ’n pretdraf begin. Stalletjies sal eetgoed, pret en mooi goed te koop aanbied. Die gaskunstenaar sal Gertjan Holtshausen wees.
