Gill Primary rewards hardworking learners

GILL Primary School in Somerset East recently congratulated all the bright stars of the school who achieved academic and merit awards.


GILL Primary School in Somerset East recently congratulated all the bright stars of the school who achieved academic and merit awards.

The Grade 4 learners who received academic awards were Marli Buchner, Zach Fick, Cara Nel, Anre Schoeman and GD Jordaan, while Lindsay de Bruin, Benjamin Weyer-Henderson, Lian Wansink, Iminathi Mehlo, Ibanathi Khoza and Zenande Ncuba, each received merit awards.

Carla van Tonder, Kyla Coetzee, Lara Lotz, Chris de Wet and Schalk de Bruin were the hardworking Grade 5 learners who won academic awards.

The Grade 5 merit award winners were Phumelela Mbotya, Tiara Bailey, Kirsten Brown, Mikayla George, Tamryn Hayes and Jayden Taljaard.

Grade 6 learners Anya Cornelius, Rossouw van Gend, Ninke Schoeman, Jan-Theo van Tonder and Matthew de Freitas received academic awards for their achievements, while Casli Marsh, Vania Fillis, Emile van Schalkwyk, Sithi-Sithi Fani, Nipho Williams and Lilitha Mbete received merit awards.

Proud Grade 7 learners Nina de Klerk, Maryke du Raan, Tanel Troskie, Henko Coetzee and Conrad Botha also received academic awards, while their classmates, Katelyn Wiid, Limarie du Plessis, John de Vos, Lwandle Radebe, Khadia Mbengue and Siyolise Samsam, were given merit awards.
