THE Graaff-Reinet Airfield and various other municipal properties are up for sale.

The sale of municipal properties is part of a municipal strategy to strengthen its financial situation, by identifying properties that are not needed for minimum service delivery anymore.

The historical horseshoe swimming pool is also identified to be sold. This includes the swimming pool’s buildings and a shop serving the bathers.

The long-awaited disposal of the Graaff-Reinet Urquhart Caravan Park was again held back.

Council decided that further investigation must be done into the Urquhart sale, with the aim to attract possible investors.

Council resolved that local communities must be informed of the disposal and issues of land sales.
