A FORMER lecturer and student at Grootfontein College of Agriculture, Beauty Mokgwamme, recently resigned as agricultural training officer (ATO) in mohair at the college.

Mokgwamme graduated in 2005 at Grootfontein after her three-year studies at the college. In 2008, she joined Grootfontein again as a young professional in agriculture. In 2009, she was appointed as agricultural training officer in the training department at the college.

After 10 years’ service and a lot of experience gained at Grootfontein, Mokgwamme resigned at Grootfontein end of July to join Mohair South Africa, in the position of managing the Empowering Trust at Mohair South Africa.

The Empowering Trust was established in 2010 for black emerging farmers who want to become commercial angora farmers.

In August and September this year, Mokgwamme assisted students at Grootfontein College of Agriculture on behalf of the Mohair Industry in Mohair classing.
