THE Honeymoon Pairs Bowls Tournament was held in Somerset East over the weekend.
Twenty-four teams participated in this elite tournament. Teams came from Jeffreys Bay, Hofmeyr, Komani (Queenstown), Molteno, Murraysburg, Graaff-Reinet, Cradock and Port Elizabeth.
Five matches were played.
After the first game, matches were played strength against strength.
Competition was fierce, and the winners were only determined after the final game on Sunday afternoon.
This year the tournament was dominated by teams from Graaff-Reinet Bowling Club.
The overall champions of the 2018 Honeymoon Pairs Bowls Tournament were Robert and Christine Scott.
In second place were Chris and Alet Slabbert, with Shaun West and Priscilla Kasperski third and the team of Neil and Charlene Colyn in fourth place.
