JASON Meaton and Marna Moller won the main 115km feature of the Bamboesberg MTB Challenge, which took place near Hofmeyr on Saturday, March 3.

Eighteen competitors took part in the 115km challenge over very mountainous terrain.

To add to the difficulty, 25mm of rain had fallen over the area and riders had to cope with rather muddy areas.

Meaton completed the race in 4:43:42, beating Arno Jordaan and Charlie Louw into second and third respectively.

Moller won the women’s race in 6:35:58, narrowly beating Katie Gilfillan into second. Gemma Meaton rounded out the podium.
