ALL Cradock women are invited to attend a multi-cultural “Boss Ladies’ High Tea Expo” to be held in the Preparatory School hall on 26 August.
According to Mthombokasi Mali, the organizer, the event is planned for women from different cultures to meet on a social level and to bring these cultures together. The vision is to create a relationship between businesses and to inspire women to join business dealings with entrepreneurship.
“I think it will be a wonderful idea for a woman with a catering business; for example, also to venture into a cleaning business. Likewise a farmer’s wife can venture into tourism,” Mali explained.
According to her, all women are able to multi-task so why not be a wife, a mother and a business woman at the same time.
Mali explained that persons from different departments will be present at the tea and that they will give information of the different funding options available to entrepreneurs.
The idea is that women from different cultures will bring refreshments from their homes to the tea so that those present can have a taste of food from another culture.
Tickets are R100 per person and the tea is only for women. The event will start at 12.00 on Sunday, 26 August. This is to give everybody who wants to attend church services in the morning time to attend these and to give working women also an opportunity to be present.
“This will be a celebration of women in their special month of August. Remember, successful men have always had successful wives or mothers behind the scenes,” she concluded.
