STUDENTS from the Mystic Wolves Taekwondo club in Cradock attended their second grading in Port Elizabeth on the weekend of the 27th of April.

They all did extremely well and graded with top marks.

Dylan Watling had the privilege of double grading.

That achievement makes it two consecutive double gradings for the Mystic Wolves Club.

The club’s Brendon Fletcher congratulated Wattling on this achievement and encouraged him to keep up the momentum.

“The club has definitely set the bar high and promises to strive to keep it there,” said Fletcher.

The club will be attending its first EP trials on June 9 in Port Elizabeth at the S.A.K.M.A.A Provincials.

The club was started about 10 months ago as a sports development initiative in the area. It focuses on fitness, self defence, discipline, anti-bullying, general behaviour and confidence.

Taekwondo is a Korean martial art and was introduced to the Eastern Cape by chief instructor and president of the Eastern Cape Martial Arts Commission, Sabum-nim Gerd Hummel, in 1997.

Hummel assesses each student personally to maintain the highest standard of the art form.

Classes take place on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 18:00 to 19:30 at the preparatory school hall in Cradock

Special arrangements can also be made should there be a need for afternoon classes for younger students. For more info contact Brendon Fletcher at 071 741 0674.
