RESIDENTS from Graaff-Reinet and surrounding areas will have an opportunity to hear the talent of a seasoned organist live when he brings his annual tour to Trinity Methodist Church this month.
Noël-Jean Creille currently resides in Port Alfred. He studied organ, singing, piano and composition at the then University of the Orange Free State.
During the summer and winter vacations he took master classes with the famous organist, Marié-Claire Alain, at the Sorbonne in Paris, France.
Creille continued his studies with Professor Gerrit Bon and obtained his M Mus. His doctoral study and research dealt with organ building.
Creille’s annual tour will take him overseas to perform in Leipzig, Passau, Munich, Ripon, Durham and Rome.
He will be performing at Trinity Methodist Church in Caledon Street, Graaff-Reinet on October 25 a “Sunset” recital at 18:00.
On October 27 at 10:00 a different recital programme will include a Songs of Praise section where the audience will be invited to join in.
The cost is R100 per person per recital or R150 to attend both.
